    WURST is a sophisticated, elegant restaurant serving authentic Bavarian fare on street level, with a fun and festive beer hall on its lower level. With a little help from Soul and social media, WURST opened to unprecedented popularity as the city's new place to see and be seen. Reservations are highly recommended!

  • The Challenge

    With the restaurant still under construction, Soul was tasked with helping WURST to create buzz and awareness before the beer taps were even installed, and build on the excitement once the doors were open.

    Soul knew that a restaurant like WURST would cater to the young and hip, and as such needed a savvy online presence, including effective use of social media. So we capitalized on the power of the web and Facebook to help make it an instant hit.

    • Over 25,000 unique visitors to the website in three months
    • 2/3 of all reservations now made online
    • 12,000 views on the Facebook contest
    • Over 1,200 "Likes" on the Facebook page
    • Facebook newsfeed has an average of 1,000 daily views

What Can You Learn Through WURST's Example?

When we started this project, WURST's owners wondered aloud if anyone would actually make their reservations online. Well guess what? Two thirds of their bookings are now being made through the website — saving money on reservation staff, increasing reservation volumes, and improving the booking experience for their customers.

And what about social media? From the campaign Soul created, WURST now averages 1,000 views on Facebook every day.
